The Mexican company, Bimbo, along with the worldwide event Global Energy Race come together to organize a worldwide race with an excellent social cause: helping people in need, supporting them with food.
Breaking the language barriers among other differences, with a same goal in mind, people from 37 cities and 22 different countries like Mexico, United States, Spain, Brazil and China unite. This race is a part of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy that this company with global presence has started to promote a healthy lifestyle in their communities and strengthen family values, in this race the whole family can participate, age doesn’t matter and it is inclusive, people on wheelchairs and crotches can participate as well.
For every kilometer you run or walk, Bimbo bread will be donated to a food bank, there is one in every city, thousands of people will be benefited from the results the people participating got, and it is definitely a win-win situation and a very noble cause. One kilometer is equivalent to two slices of bread that multiplied by thousands of people means incredible results.
The race is on September 25 and to register you must go to their official web page. In Mexico the cities participating are Merida, Monterrey, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Veracruz and Puebla. The categories depend on every country but there are three, 10km, 5km and the 3km hike.
The goal is to create a positive global impact, all running as one, helping others whilst doing something good for themselves and their health. In the 2015 race around 70,000 people ran and the event was in 22 countries, so this year thousands more are expected, which will mean more donations.
