Thanks to the new reforms of Mexico and the opening of the energy sector, several European countries have decided to invest.

One such country is Netherlands, which, according to Carel Richter, ‎Head of Department International business at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands, is ready to collaborate with Mexico through investments and experience.

In recent years, the relationship between the two countries has increased significantly, so now it is intended that such link arrives to the energy sector, as Netherlands seeks to be a key partner of Mexico, not only in gas and oil, but also regarding sustainable and clean energy, such as wind power, in which the country is one of the best.

Holland has invested in Mexico 50.8 billion between 1999 and 2015, a figure expected to continue to increase once the relationship among both nations is strengthened.

Mexico has positively differentiated with respect to other nations in the region, and has grown a lot, so it offers a considerable amount of investment opportunities.

According to the official, Mexico has a well thought out strategy, as it takes the example and experience of other countries to avoid making the same mistakes, and thus ensures doing business and investments that benefit the Mexican population.

The official announcement of cooperation between Mexico and Netherlands will take place during the month of May, when the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, makes the state visit to Netherlands.
