Tips for your next holidayBy Valeria Bigurra Peñavera
People enjoy traveling, meeting new and exotic places, escaping their daily routine… Whether it’s alone, with our partner, family or friends, traveling is one of the greatest activities we all enjoy doing!
However, we don’t always do it, or as often as we’d like to, and there are several factors why this happens, such as lack of time, poor planning, or even the fact that we are afraid to leave our comfort zone.
Sometimes choosing a destination can be complicated; it’s difficult to decide on one thing, and if you’re someone looking for a place that offers everything for everyone, we recommend you to visit Riviera Maya, a place that has it all and is expert on creating the most unforgettable experience.
If you are looking for beach, city, nightlife, activities, culture, shopping, luxury, excellent service, or even exquisite food, Riviera Maya has it all.
Now I'll give you some tips you should consider for your next trip:
Buy your flight in advance:
You must remember that nothing is impossible and no place is too far, or is too expensive; if you plan ahead, many agencies offer payment options, or even many airlines offer cheaper flights when purchasing in advance.
Remember the closer your date is, the more expensive the flight will be; you also need to be flexible, because there are certain times, or flights with stopovers that can be cheaper, as long as you are willing to adapt.
Book your hotel and your activities:
Visit travel sites so you make the best choice in regard to destinations. Look around for reviews and information on a certain place, so you select hotel and activities too.
Remember there are endless options in Riviera Maya, including hotels that offer the best service, and that will make your vacation an adventure.
There are also many activities you can do, from visiting the route of the cenotes, go shopping in Cancun or Playa del Carmen, or enjoy a romantic evening under the stars at the edge of the Caribbean Sea.
Plan your day for maximum enjoyment:
Once at your destination, get up early and plan your activities so that you can manage your time and enjoy it to the fullest. Remember that Riviera Maya has activities for children and adults, also in Cancun and Playa del Carmen you can find an exciting nightlife, shopping malls, museums, beautiful beaches, concerts, and much more.
Remember to take enough cash:
There are many things that can be paid by credit card, but it is always important to bring enough cash, because you never know what may occur… It’s better be safe than sorry.
In addition there are many local shops that do not accept cards, for example if you want to buy typical crafts at an affordable price you will probably have to buy them in cash. Similarly if you visit some of the archeological sites, usually within them you can find handicrafts made by people from the area and can only be paid in cash.
Take your time and enjoy:
Remember it is important to plan your vacation in advance, but take your time to see the place and to enjoy and relax. Normally the life we live happens very quickly, and we rarely stop to enjoy everything that surrounds us.
Our lives are reduced to work, home, school, and we rarely give the importance to traveling and take some time off to unwind and load up with energy… Your vacation is the ideal place and time to do it: to disconnect yourself from your regular life and just appreciate the beautifulness of life itself.
Remember that the world is too big to stay in one place all the time, sometimes you need to leave your comfort zone and take a chance to see the world.
