Stay in a tube and enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the Tepozteco hill

Very close to the Magic Town of Tepoztlan, Morelos, there is an ideal place to stay for those adventurer lovers who like to explore new lodging options: Tubohotel.

Built from recycled concrete tubes placed in modules of three, this hotel has 20 rooms equipped with just the necessary things to spend the night: a queen size bed, a small fan, a bedside lamp and curtains for those who want some privacy.

And the bathroom? Due to this unique concept, the suites does not have their own bathrooms. Guests have access to community bathrooms –one for boys and one for girls- with private showers, wach of them with a water-saving system installed. For food you can go down to the town and buy some provisions, although there’s a community kitchen.

Robb Anderson, partner and creator of this project, said that Tubohotel is inspired by the work of the architect Andreas Strauss. This hotel is still a new lodging concept for the region, which is characterized by its rustic accommodations.

To take advantage of the natural landscape and the woods, the tubes are closed with glass, which allows guests to observe beautiful panoramic views of the Tepozteco hill. Mainly due to the fact that the natural scenario where Tubohotel is located didn’t actually suffer any major change or alteration (thanks to the use of recycled materials), Tubohotel is known as an environmentally friendly hotel that also has an organic garden and solar panels.
